Sapphire Storm: Story & Interview

I am a small-town girl from Kent UK, been in education all my life, always wanted to model, started modeling at 17 via net-model.com, been doing it 4 years in Jan. I am agency signed and have been internationally published, I’m very determined friendly and like to think I bring my creative flair to every shoot. I really enjoy modeling as a job and look forward to hopefully gracing the covers of magazines very soon! I’m mixed-race; oriental, black and white, petite, alternative, and totally unique looking I love my look and hope you guys will love it too!

Describe yourself in three words. Quirky unique edgy.

How would you describe your personality? Sweetly excentric.

How would you describe your professional interests? Photographic modeling, video modeling, life art modeling, dancing, music videos.

Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in this Career? I think all girls dream of modeling I always wanted to, I got into it via net-models in 2010 and haven’t stopped since I thought my height curves and the race would hinder it but I happily found that anyone can model these days thanks to the internet!

What languages do you speak? English and a bit of german.

What’s your background in modeling? Fashion, catwalk, life-art, alternative, beauty, and classic art.

If you could change three things about yourself, what would they be? Id makes myself 9 inches taller so I could walk for designers in Paris and Milan, that is all.

Who are some of your favorite models and designers? My favorite models are Ivory flame, Ulorin Vex, and Mosh.

How would you describe your style? Consider anything and everything from color to historical eras and more. I am exotic, unique, alternative, and full of attitude – I am simply just me!

What are your strengths? And what are your weaknesses? Strengths: anything model/dance related weaknesses: love!

Where do you generally shop? Highstreet, I love Topshop, river island, and Zara.

What modeling projects have you done? I have done photographic, video, life-art and music video modeling in the UK, Spain, Ireland, and France, I have worked with over 100 photographers, over 5 other models, and many makeup artists, also 1 latex designer.

What kind of modeling are you interested in and why? I am interested in many styles from fashion to classic art to the catwalk to music videos.

Do you have any other experience in the fashion industry (like writing photography etc.)? I walked for alternative fashion week last year 2012 it was amazing.

How would you describe working with the photographer? I warn all models to be cautious with new photographers as u never know what to expect till you get there! You hear terrible stories all the time so better safe than sorry really!

Do you do your own hair and make-up? Yes, 9/10 times I have to do my own makeup hair and styling.

What makes a stylish lady or man? Is there a difference? Makeup hair dye tweezers and a razor lol.

Do you eat nutritiously? Tell me about the diet you follow on a regular basis? For a model, my diet could be quite a lot better! I lavish a little too much on junk/fast food.

How often do you exercise or go to the gym, workout? How much time do you spend there? I walk a lot and try and work out at least 2 times a week.

What are some of the main differences between runway and photographic modeling? The runway is all about the clothes, photos are all about the model, however, I thoroughly enjoy both!

What’s your favorite outfit from your own closet? A lime green dress with spikes.

Describe the atmosphere when you’re on a shoot? I always like to have fun on a shoot but that doesn’t mean I don’t work my butt off! I always put 100% effort into a shoot! I will chat with the photographer but will also remain professional. I am friendly and committed and I haven’t found a photographer who did not have a pleasant experience working with me!

Do you have any limitations? Yes, I draw the line at any sort of adult work.

Describe the ideal work environment for you. Ideal work environment – tea, a heater, and happy photographers.

The easiest way to look pretty and glamorous? Simple makeup, hair down and a lovely smile with a simple black skin-tight dress – simple pretty and glam
