Julia Mei: Story & Interview

There’s really nothing too special about me I’d like to think. I’m very much like any other girl, fascinated with shiny things that smell nice. But I also enjoy video gaming, which is quite peculiar in some ways? So you could say I’m a mix between a tomboy and a girly girl. I have my moments. Honestly, though, it’s not hard to guess that I love food (haha). The way to Julia’s heart is most definitely through her stomach 🙂

What does fashion actually mean to you? What inspires your passion and what excites & motivates you about modeling? Fashion means something different for everyone. To me its a way to express myself. I like to keep things simple, but emphasize my personality through one bold item in my outfit.

What do you think, Is it important to attended fashion modeling courses? Do they really help newbies to get a foothold in the Fashion Industry? Not at all. Although the courses may help, I don’t believe it’s necessary at all. I never took any courses. It really depends on how much work you put into things. It’s a good investment, but it won’t guarantee you success.

How you communicate with other netizens, specially your subscribers? Are you patient? polite? friendly? How often you reply to them? I try to be polite and friendly most of the time. but I get so many message in a day that it’s just physically impossible for me to reply to all of them. And like many other models, we get creepy messages, or people who send us bad pics too.. Which we don’t appreciate.

Has modeling changed other aspects of your life? What does your career do for you? It made me much more confident in front of any type of camera and in front of people in general. Believe it or not, all the interviews I had to do in front of a camera has really help me in terms of public speaking.

Is there anything you dislike about modeling? I have to give up a lot of my personal life in order to model. Also, being in the eye of the public like that, the people who are closest to you tend to not like it as much.

And what are some things you dislike or want to change about the fashion industry? There’s a lot of bad connotations with it and people tend to think models don’t have half a brain. It is however very untrue. I know plenty of models who are intelligent human beings.

How you prepare yourself for a modeling shoot? I look in the mirror, and smile.

What has been your best fashion look? What was your biggest fashion mistake? My best fashion look? I don’t quite know. But I know for a fact that my biggest fashion mistake was chopping all my hair off a few years ago. I’m so glad it all grew back ! <3

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in? What are your least favorites? I love streetwear personally, because it’s so ordinary, and natural. I really don’t enjoy too outrageous outfits.

Any ultimate goal to fulfill as a model ? How do you see yourself progress in this field? I just work hard and see where it takes me. It’s great that I have so many fans supporting me. I really appreciate it.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future? I would definitely want to do more streetwear and artistic shoots.

Tell us something about your city, your favorite hang out spots there? I live in Toronto. It’s just a great City lol.

What is your perfect day, morning through to night? Wake up refreshed, and notice that even though you’re wide awake, it’s only 7 AM. Get all my errands done, and be productive! Productivity is important in my life. Go to sleep after a hot bubble bath, all warm and cuddled up in my blankets and comfy pillows. 🙂

What do you like to do for fun & entertainment? I play video games.

What’s your fashion mantra? Please describe your style? What’s your beauty regime? My style is based on my mood and personality. I tend to stay simple though. Nothing too bold or too crazy.

Do you eat nutritiously? Tell us about the diet you follow on a regular basis? Is there any food which you avoid eating? I don’t buy anything I don’t want myself eating. This includes any soda pop or chips. I tend to cook a lot of my own meals, so I know what’s in it. Other than that, I don’t really look too heavily on what I eat. I just eat whatever I’m craving because I figure if I’m craving for it, my body must need it.

How often do you exercise or go to the gym? How much time do you spend there? I don’t have a set schedule. I go when I feel like an extra boost in metabolism. I have a pretty healthy diet, not to mention a fast metabolism so I can often get away with not going.

Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra, what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamorous? Don’t frown so much in your everyday life. Your mother wasn’t joking when she said if you keep making ugly faces like that, your face will stay that way.

What other modeling projects have you done? All modeling projects can be found in the “About” page on my fan page on Facebook. 🙂

What are your experiences in the fashion industry? What is fun and rewarding about modeling? Do you have any advice for other aspiring models? Confidence is key.

What fashion magazines & weblogs you like browsing? I don’t read any fashion magazines or fashion websites.

Tell me about your favorites. My role model is Miranda Kerr. She’s absolutely beautiful and has really made a brand of herself.

How you access the Internet? What device do you use: Is it a tablet, smartphone or laptop? What according to you is a more comfortable, quick, and easy device for accessing the Internet? I use a tablet, smartphone, and desktop computer. Yes, it’s true. I don’t own a laptop. I’m usually on my smartphone though.

Is there anything you like to add? If you love it, go for it.

Your ultimate message for netizens? I love you all 🙂

Bella Daniella: Story & Interview

My name is Bella. I am 29 years young, and I have wanted to be a model for as long as I can remember. Through ten years of hard work and perseverance, I have finally made it there. When I was young I took classes for modeling and acting at a local talent school. I also took many dance classes growing up, from ballet to tap and jazz. When I was in high school I started gymnastics and cheerleading. Now my favorite hobby is playing DanceCentral on the Xbox. Things are never easy, and you always have to sacrifice one thing to get something else you want. My biggest piece of advice is that when you truly want something so bad you can practically taste it: Don’t give up. Don’t ever give up, don’t ever be afraid, and don’t ever look back. The door to tomorrow always opens right in front of you.

Caitlin Lee: Story & Interview

My story, huh? Well everyone has a story, some people live exciting public lives, and others tend to be more secluded. I would say that I am more of a mystery or tend to have both aspects of life. I truly believe I live a double life. Believe it or not, I even have two different Facebook’s.

Summer Ayala: Story & Interview

The story of my life is a very long one, and once I get going, I could type for days with every detail included. I’ll spare you and your readers all of that incredibly boring reading and give you the short version. So, here it goes: I was born in sunny Phoenix, Arizona, and moved to Texas when I was 2 with my mom, Granny, and my little brother after my parents divorced. When I was 2, I used to sit in front of the turned-off-television and say, “I’m gonna be a movie star,” while brushing my hair. Little did I know, those moments would become a major part of my life.

When I was 5, I starred in my very first commercial in Waxahachie, Texas for Nabisco during the Rose Bowl Parade in 1989. As I got older, I was a normal kid doing cheerleading, dance, gymnastics, and playing with all of my friends, had boyfriends, getting picked on for being skinny and awkward. Totally normal. I was always very involved in school though, but the only difference was that I was shooting music videos, catalogs, and commercials after school and on the weekends. To me, it was completely normal and easy to do. As a teenager though I began to drift away from the limelight and be what society claims to be an everyday teen. Proms, attitude, homecoming, extracurricular activities, boyfriends, parties, shopping, and working – a lot! I did a couple of pageants as a teenager, but I began to focus more on school and getting into college.

At 19, I began working in Dallas and I was going to school full-time to be a meteorologist. I have always been fascinated with tornadoes and chasing storms. Then, in April of 2003, I found out I was pregnant, moved in with my boyfriend, and dropped out of school because I became very ill and didn’t know I was preggo at first. I was living in Arlington and working in Dallas while attending ‘shows’ for my then fiance’s rock band.

I had my daughter two and a half months early, so I quit my job, dropped everything, and became a full-time mom at 21. It is terrifying when you’re told, “If you don’t quit your job, then your baby won’t make it.” This is also known as the beginning of my Dr. Mom’s career. It’s amazing how fast you learn legal and medical terms when you become a parent with a baby in the NICU. When my daughter was born, she had a long list of symptoms: jaundice, MRSA, missing septum pellucidum, premature retina, a heart monitor, and a grade III brain hemmhorage. She would eventually have acid reflux, colic, eczema, horrible allergies, and asthma. She also had pneumonia 5 times before the age of 4. However, despite all of these trying times, this is when my life completely changed for the better because I was this new person. A strong young mother with a newfound purpose in life.
In 2005, I was approached about getting ‘back into modeling.’ I don’t really feel like I ever left, but it was something I never thought I would see myself jumping back into headfirst. I began working with Casey Jay Benson and Drew Timmons, which would lead me to shoot the cover of Tyler Today Magazine’s Bridal Edition. My husband at the time, my daughter and I lived in Mineola, Texas for about a year and a half with his parents and we got married in 2006 in Jamaica. We moved in with his parents so he could start a career in home sales and we could buy a house.

After that, in 2007, we moved to Forney, Tx, and bought the cutest house. It was my dream to own a one-story brick house for some crazy reason. I worked several odd jobs while my daughter was in Pre-K and Kindergarten including children’s fitness coach, Arbonne sales consultant, talent manager, acting, and a personal assistant to a talent agent. I was also in school full-time to get my Associates in Business Management because I wanted to open a talent agency.

At the end of 2009, my husband at the time, and I separated, and we were divorced on October 15, 2010. Since then, I began working at an incredible law firm in Uptown Dallas on June 28, 2010, and I recently graduated with my Associates in Paralegal Studies from El Centro College in May of 2013.

Now that I have been at the firm for 3 and a half years, I am looking at getting my paralegal certification and pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Law Office Management. I am also a model, which I am doing paperwork as I type for my LLC. I have a 2015 calendar and merchandise available at www.summerayala2015.us, and I will be featured in several magazines, Playboy’s Miss Social November contest, as well as the NOH8 Campaign, The LuminArte Gallery in Dallas, and music videos, among several other things. I am also a VIP host with Five Diamond Concierge, a talent scout with Page Parkes Management, and a talent coach and mentor. I am a personal mentor for anyone who asks for my help and I consult for various businesses on a freelance basis.

At this point, I definitely feel like the sky is not even the limit for me and that I can do anything I set my mind to. I am looking forward to the future and what it brings for me because I live day-by-day, I never know what will happen. Obviously, 24 hours in my life can be a complete whirlwind at the drop of a hat.

Describe yourself in three words. Loyal, spontaneous & silly.

How would you describe your personality? Sparkly & Spunky! I’m a business meeting and a party all at the same time.

How would you describe your professional interests? Professionally, I am interested in the legal field, being an entrepreneur, and anything with the entertainment business.

Why do you want to work as a model? Why are you interested in this Career? I want to work as a model because it makes me happy and it is an area that I have always been interested in. I feel like it empowers me to be a confident independent woman. I can make decisions and be creative with every photo shoot, every job, and every project. It’s addicting!

What languages do you speak? I only speak English right now, but I am learning Spanish. I spoke only French when I was two years old.

What’s your background in modeling? I have been modeling since I was 5. I have been through years of training in acting and modeling, commercials, print work, photoshoots, portfolio building, agency work, being an assistant to agents, mentoring models, training them, and anything you can think of really.

If you could change three things about yourself, what would they be? I’m a major overachiever and perfectionist. I also fall victim to the image society creates as the ‘perfect woman.’ It’s not something I like to admit, but it’s something I plan on changing. Women should never hate the way they look if they are happy and healthy. Even the most independent confident successful woman can be very insecure.

Who are some of your favorite models and designers? I love Cindy Crawford. She is hands down my favorite. I’m not a designer snob. I’d rather wear great styles at great prices. I love Thrift Stores, Plato’s Closet, and Buffalo Exchange. There are amazing designers like GUCCI, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Zac Posen, but what single mom can afford those on a daily basis? I’m all about affordable yet stylish pieces that the everyday woman can afford. GUESS and Arden B. are a couple of my favorite more affordable brands. I wear them and Frederick’s of Hollywood when I go to events or for a night out. I also support local DFW Designers.

How would you describe your style? Consider anything from color to historical eras. My style is a large mixture of comfortable and hot, yet classy. I love the dresses that no one else would be caught wearing. I tend to wear a lot of blackouts of habit, but I also go for crazy bright colors. I am very girly, so I like pinks and whites. I also like to mix a vintage look with something edgy, or something very simple with a super hot pair of heels. A girl should always show off her best assets, but also wear a hot pair of stilettos. It’s a must. If I feel good about my outfit, then I am more confident.

What are your strengths? And what are your weaknesses? My strengths are my ability to take on anything. I never back down and I don’t feel there’s anything I can’t do. I will also do anything I can to help other people. However, one of my biggest weaknesses is being generous and too nice to people that don’t appreciate or deserve my help. My independence and drive to succeed at everything always get me back to where I need to be mental.

Where do you generally shop? For clothes, I shop wherever I know a good sale is, or where I know for a fact there will be an outfit to match the event I am going to. I joke that I always end up in Frederick’s of Hollywood, but it’s true. 90% of the time I can grab a great dress from there and I get endless compliments on my outfit.

What other modeling projects have you done? I am always working on projects in modeling. I can’t tell too much about projects I am working on right now though. I can say that I recently did a shoot for the NOH8 Campaign, which is very close to my heart and I’m extremely excited about it. I am always working on projects with my make-up artist and my favorite photographers. So stay tuned! I have a couple of very exciting projects coming up.

What kind of modeling are you interested in and why? I love all types of modeling and I appreciate it all. Modeling is not easy in any sense. I really want to focus more on the commercial aspect and move into acting. I’ve done a bit of both side my whole life, but being in Dallas and having some curves, you’re put into the Glamour style of modeling. I love it, but I have much more up my sleeve. I love shocking my fans, friends, and family with everything that I do. I want people to realize that there’s nothing I can’t do. Being told, “You can’t do that,” just makes me actually do it and prove people wrong.

Do you have any other experience in the fashion industry (like writing photography etc.)? I help models find paid work, I coach them at photoshoots, train them for auditions and I have done make-up and styling. If I were given the opportunity to write about my experience in the industry, then I would gladly take that on. I do plan on writing a book about all my life experiences at some point down the road.

How would you describe working with the photographer? Working with a photographer can be an amazing experience because the bond between models and photographers can be extremely strong. Some photographers and models mistake it for relationship chemistry, which is an entire chapter in the book I will write, but it’s something that no one will understand unless they are in the industry for a long time. Building an unstoppable relationship with a brilliant photographer is difficult to do. Not every model works well with every photographer and not every photographer is good at working with every model. It’s a specialty career. One thing I love to do is collaborate on a shoot with the photographer and stylist. It’s honestly like watching magic happen. I start working on a shoot as soon as I book it, and sometimes before I even set a date. I’m constantly researching looks, styles, and going to the next level at every shoot. Putting an incredible editorial together and saying, “Holy crap that’s amazing!” on every photo is priceless.

What makes a stylish lady or man? Is there a difference? Yes, there’s a big difference. Being stylish is a hobby. You have to do research, keep up with trends, and own whatever you wear. You have to be able to support your own looks or you just look like a clown. A stylish man is very attractive as long as you have a personality to go with it. A stylish woman can step up her looks to another level as long as she’s not a B. I believe personality goes into style as well. You can wear the hottest outfit on the planet and still look like crap if you don’t look and feel comfortable in your own skin.

How would you describe the photographer’s style? A photographer’s style can vary, and not every photographer can shoot anything they want. Some try to branch out, but it doesn’t always work. I would never shoot with a photographer that specializes in shooting landscapes. It wouldn’t make sense. Photographers will have different styles with lighting, the types of models they shoot, and how they operate overall. Some are professional and most are NOT. Again, you have to do your research.

Who are some of your favorite fashion photographers? Georges Antoni, Esteves & Boloso, Jason Kibbler, Ben Hassett, and Jan Welters. They all have an eye for perfection.

Do you do your own hair and make-up? Yes, unless I have a big magazine shoot or event, then I hire my stylist. Otherwise, I don’t wear make-up unless I’m going out with friends.

What are some of the main differences between runway and photographic modeling? There’s a huge difference. Modeling on the runway, there are cameras at every angle. You have to look amazing at all times with little to no facial expression and no obvious posing. Photographic modeling is full of poses and emotions.

What’s your favorite outfit from your own closet? My favorite outfit would have to be my VS yoga pants and a t-shirt. I love to be comfortable. When I go out, my LBD and a hot pair of edgy stilettos with a cute clutch. Simple and classy.

Describe the atmosphere when you’re on a shoot? The atmosphere is full of creativity and FUN! I like to be silly and joke around as well as get the perfect shot. I like to learn from the photographer I’m working with because they have so much knowledge about what makes you get the perfect photo. My photographers are my friends, so we’re talking about life, kids, ex’s, food (because we’re always hungry), shoes, clothes, other people’s work, and we’re just listening to upbeat music. There’s usually a lot of brainstorming and goofing around going on.

Why would you think you’re fit for being a model? I am fit for being a model because I bring a lot more to the table than any random girl. I don’t just “stand there and look pretty.” I bring emotion, friendship, business, and life into my work. I am also a model on the side of everything else I do. Modeling is a perk to my life. It is rare that a model will become a successful millionaire and retire from only that type of work. You have to be smart and use it to your advantage. Network, have goals and help other people that also work hard and deserve it. Modeling can be applied to most aspects of life. It’s not just standing there looking fierce, you have to be a walking business. Otherwise, you’re just another body in the crowd.

Do you have any limitations? Would you model any kind of clothing at all? Yes, I don’t like to shoot artistic nudes or ‘porn’-style photos. I’ve been asked several times if a photographer can shoot my breasts. My response is always, “Uhm no. Are you Playboy? Do you want to pay me thousands of dollars? If not, then we’re done here.” I also don’t shoot anything that I cannot use to submit for paid work, publications, or exposure. If I can’t use it, or you’re not shooting it for a publication, then I won’t shoot it. I like to shoot in clothing that fits my style, what I would wear every day, and what feels good to wear. When you’re a model, you usually don’t have a choice in what clothes you’re modeling. That’s the model’s job to make a paper sack look desirable.

Describe the ideal work environment for you. My ideal work environment is professional, but fun and full of learning. Collaboration and family-like work environments that enable teamwork are perfect. If you don’t have any of those, then you need to think about switching offices or careers.

What are your likes and dislikes? I like my fave tv shows, naps on cold winter days, laughing, giving gifts, sweets, glitter, stilettos, and amazing music. I dislike taking down decorations, waking up early, dieting, people who are manipulative and fake, cold weather, the sound of popping knuckles and people smacking their food.

Lexi Campbell: Story & Interview

My name is Lexi Campbell and I’ll be 22 years of age in April 2014. I started modeling in December 2012 based on a friend of mine referral. Modeling is the last thing I would have imagined doing because I was the freckled face skinny and pale girl in school that was flat in all places. I’ve always had a passion for the arts such as photography and designing clothing. At the age of 5, I was making dolls clothing and it just progressed through the years, and around age 10 I grabbed my dad’s camera and started taking pictures of just about anything.

Photography came pretty easy because I’m an artist also in drawing so I almost saw the two as quite similar. If there was a vision that I had I would capture it either with a pencil and paper or through the lens of a camera and process it through film. So it all brings me to the presence of me modeling today and designing my own lingerie to wear.

Leah Amber: Story & Interview

A little bit about me….where to start? I am an aspiring model & actress that has a passion for the arts. I have a wide range of interests, such as event planning, hosting, and personal shopping/fashion consulting. I enjoy volunteer work, as I feel rewarded for helping others. I believe in working hard, but always having fun while you are doing it!

Poppy Lee Helem-Parry: Story & Interview

Well, where to begin… My name is Poppy and I’m 27! I was originally born in New Zealand but my family moved over to Brisbane, Australia when I was 9. I’m the eldest child of 4 kiddies! With a sister and 2 brothers. I adore Brisbane and it feels very much like home but I love going back to New Zealand to visit my extended family… I’m going back there in December actually =) Travelling is a passion of mine, I wish I could do it more often!! My favorite place to visit in Sweden as my uncle lives there. I work full time in an office job which keeps me very busy! And I work part-time as a model. I’m currently a freelance model so I run everything through my Facebook page (Poppy Lee Helem-Parry MODEL) and my Model Mayhem account. I love the creativity which comes with being a model, seeing the end result is why I enjoy modeling so much. Fashion is one of my obsessions so being a part of this industry is brilliant for following that!!

When and how exactly you get started? What was it for? for the glamour, name & publicity, or anything else? I actually only got into modeling earlier this year! I was approached to participate in a fashion show and the modeling offers have snowballed from there. I work full time in an office job so I wasn’t really thinking about modeling, it all seemed to come to me. I think I’m just lucky… I would never model for the name or publicity, I’m quite a creative person so I really enjoy being a part of the fashion world. I love seeing the final images from shoots, I get a real kick out of seeing a good image from the day’s effort!

What do you think, Is it important to attended fashion modeling courses? Do they really help newbies to get a foothold in the Fashion Industry? I attended a deportment course when I was 17 but it didn’t really push me into modeling. It’s good for young girls to attend some kind of course which goes through all kinds of life skills, not just modeling. That’s where this course was useful, it was an overall idea of makeup, fashion, and how to hold yourself in various situations. I’m still learning my way around the industry so every day is something new!

How you communicate with other netizens, especially your subscribers? Are you patient? polite? friendly? How often you reply to them? I am always friendly, polite and professional =) It’s so nice meeting lots of different people, I enjoy that part of the job very much. I try to reply within a day!! But sometimes my busy schedule gets in the way, unfortunately, but I never take the messages for granted and I’ll always reply.

Has modeling changed other aspects of your life? It’s mainly changed my life in positive ways, I really take pleasure in seeing the great images I’ve achieved. But the negative side is I’m quite hard on myself. I’m always so surprised to see a good image of myself!! I’m working on that though, I do need to be not so harsh on myself.

How you distinguish a good model from a bad one? I try to change up my look as much as possible. I think a good model should always try something new for each shoot. And making sure you achieve what the client is looking for is very important!! A nice attitude never goes astray either… having fun is key.

And what distinguishes a good photograph from a bad one? This is a tricky one to answer in a way… It’s in the eye of the beholder in a lot of ways. But capturing a particular moment where everything just comes together seems to be where you get the best images. I try to make the best out of all shoots and learn from each experience.

Would you like to tell us about your favorite models & designers? For any reason, why? She’s not really known for her modeling, but I love Gwen Stefani!!! I think she’s amazing… I love her style. Some people out there think I look a bit like her because of my blonde hair and dark eyebrows, I take that as such a compliment! Kate Moss, I just find it fascinating, she’s got some beautiful images which I enjoy studying so much. I’ve also grown up with seeing images of Claudia Schiffer, she’s such a classical beauty. And designers, there are too many to name… But Zimmerman is so awesome!!

Is there anything you dislike about modeling? It’s a world where you need to be so image-conscious. And I know it’s up to me to make decisions about my weight and how I look, but to an extent, I do feel pressure to be quite small. There is an expectation that if you’re going to be a model you should be no bigger than a size 8 and for some girls, this isn’t a realistic or healthy thing to try to achieve.

And what are some things you dislike or want to change about the fashion industry? I think I’m too new to this world to make a judgment call just yet! Come back and ask me in a year’s time haha =)

How you prepare yourself for a modeling shoot? I wash my hair the night before, I have a good shower, I pack my shoot bag which has all my emergency bits and pieces (hair tools, makeup, underwear), I research different looks and images I’ll try to mimic the next day, and I try to get to bed early! And hopefully, that’s a recipe for a good shoot =)

Where do you generally like to shop? Do you shop online? If yes then tell us about your favorite shopping sites? I am so into Dr. Denim jeans at the moment. They have an online store which is great!! I’m addicted to ASOS too, I could buy almost everything on there. But I do prefer to walk into a shop and try my clothes on. I have to be so certain about what I want to buy when I go online but when I’m in a physical shop it’s much easier to take what you can see!

What other modeling projects have you done? I’ve mainly been involved in fashion shoots! Not so much catwalk or anything like that, but I like all of it… I love new concepts and ideas!!

What are your experiences in the fashion industry? What is fun and rewarding about modeling? My experiences have been so positive overall!! Meeting so many new faces in this industry has been great and a lot of fun. A highlight was being in London and shooting with a fantastic photographer, I had such a great time on that shoot. The best part of it for me is when the client is happy and I’ve pushed myself to achieve a good shot… that is a satisfying feeling!!

Do you have any advice for other aspiring models? Work hard, stay level headed, market yourself, and trust your instincts!!

Which fashion magazines, weblogs & catalogs do you like reading? Marie Claire and InStyle are my favorite magazines. I take great delight in reading one of those mags just before I go to bed, I find it’s a great way to unwind.

How you access the Internet? What device do you use: Is it tablet, smartphone, or laptop? What according to you is a more comfortable, quick, and easy device for accessing the Internet? I mainly access the net on my phone! I’ve only ever owned an Android device. At the moment I have a Samsung Galaxy3 which I love!! But I get a bit over typing on my phone so logging onto the net with my laptop is the easiest. I don’t like typing on a tablet either, an actual keyboard is much easier =)

Describe yourself in three words. Honest, Passionate & Fun! How would you describe your personality? I’m a hard-working person so I like to push myself and put 100% into everything I do! But at the same time, I’m quite easy to go lucky. I love having a laugh, a good sense of humor is such an important thing. And I try to stay very positive, it makes such a difference in all avenues of life!

How would you describe your professional interests? I’m ambitious and I try to enjoy everything I do all the way through my working career!! I enjoy meeting new people and building good relationships wherever I go, that’s key for me.

What languages do you speak? I’m a bit lacking in this department, unfortunately… I only know English. Unless you count New Zealand and Australian as a language 😉 hehe

If you could change three things about yourself, what would they be? I wish I could change the fact I hate exercise… I find that very hard to like, my huge cravings for Mexican food and KFC,

How would you describe your style? Consider anything and everything from color to historical eras and more. I have quite a mixed style really! I like to change it up quite often… I love Gwen Stefani, I get inspired by her look. I adore the 50’s look though. Both makeup and clothing. A lovely red lipstick never fails to impress =)

What are your strengths? And what are your weaknesses? I’m versatile!! That is a big strength of mine. Weakness, I can be quite harsh on myself.

What kind of modeling are you interested in and why? I’m most keen on Fashion style shoots. I love how edgy and creative they can be. It depends on the concept though, I get such a kick out of creating unique images.

Do you have any other experience in the fashion industry (like writing photography etc.)? I don’t have any other experience apart from modeling at this point! But I’d love to study photography. It’d be good to be on the other side of the camera and be creative in that way.

How would you describe working with the photographer? A good photographer will give you guidance and get you geared up! They know what kind of shot they want and they’ll push you to achieve it. It’s vital to have fun on the shoot though; it comes through in the images and gives a certain kind of energy.

What makes a stylish lady or man? Is there a difference? Confidence and knowing yourself makes for a stylish person! I love seeing someone wear daring outfits and makeup. That’s the style in my eyes.

Do you do your own hair and make-up? I often do my own hair and makeup for shoots! I’ve had a makeup obsession since I was in my early teens so I’m quite practiced luckily.

What are some of the main differences between the runway and photographic modeling? I get way more nervous when I’m on a runway!! Photographic modeling I can get in the zone a bit more. I enjoy both for that reason though, they’re very different in their own ways.

What’s your favorite outfit from your own closet? My favorite right now is a black lace dress, it’s beautiful… I feel so elegant in it.

Describe the atmosphere when you’re on a shoot? It’s tense but fun!! We’re all trying to put in all our energy to create a good shot.

Do you have any limitations? Would you model any kind of clothing at all? I do have limitations! I wouldn’t do any nude shots… anything involving anything kinky is out of the question for me!

Describe the ideal work environment for you. Fun, relaxed, energetic, inspired, directed and creative!!

Do you own a domain? Do you have your own fashion blog? I don’t have a domain or a fashion blog unfortunately. But I use my Facebook page to provide lots of updates! You can check it out here =) www.facebook.com/poppyleehelemparry
