Taversia Shares: Story & Interview

I’ve been modeling now since early July of 2010. Being the flaming redhead that I am, I have written an article for the popular Tumblr blog, “Geeky Redheads And Their Supporters/Admirers” detailing my journey with crudely drawn MS Paint pictures! Besides being a model, I am also a published author currently working on my second book!

What inspired your passion for modeling? I like to feel pretty, and I enjoy using my body to take part in producing works of art. That in itself is motivation enough for me!

What does your career do for you? I’ve had the pleasure of appearing on various fantasy book covers, as well as becoming acquainted and making good friends with so many wildly creative people along the way. I feel that I have been very fortunate in each of my endeavors.

What has been your best fashion look? I don’t know about my best, but so far my favorite has been my work with Arielle Smous, At least as far as fashion goes! 🙂

What was your biggest fashion mistake? During a shoot, the tie on the back of my top came loose. It was a very springy top. I’ve never seen a garment have so much projectile motion before.

How you distinguish a good model from a bad one? I would be a very bad model if I were tardy to a shoot, canceled on a photographer without proper notice, or simply failed to confirm or show up at all. A good model is prompt, professional, and good-natured!

What’s your beauty regime? I roll myself out of bed. Sometimes I shave my legs, maybe, if I feel like it.

What are your favorite types of outfits to model in? The more outrageous, the better. I like form-fitted, curve-hugging things, but I also like BIG shoulders and tall, angular hats!

What are your least favorites? I probably wouldn’t model in a potato sack…? Maybe? We’ll see. I’m still young.

Any ultimate goal to fulfill as a model? I think it would be really cool to incorporate some of my dance backgrounds into a modeling venture; film, over still imagery! 🙂

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future? My bucket list of themes I’d like to try, that I haven’t yet as of this post: Something involving squid/octopi, Veiled, in the desert, ANYTHING underwater, Mascara running, whilst standing in the rain, Carwash, in daisy dukes & heels, Pirate VS Ninja, Backless dress (vintage Hollywood starlet)… Just some ideas I have floatin’ around inside my brain.

Is there anything you dislike or want to change about the fashion industry? I would personally like to see more fat chicks working the runway. I am very pro-fat chicks. The fashion industry is woefully missing out on a well of untapped talent by largely excluding women with fuller figures from the field. Curves make clothes look better, plain, and simple.

What do you like to do for fun & entertainment? Sometimes I like to pwn n00bs with my 1337 PVP skill hax in World of Warcraft.

Do you eat nutritiously? Tell us about the diet you follow on a regular basis? I enjoy my fruits and veggies, but then I also like high carb things like noodles and bread, too. I try to keep it clean.

How often do you exercise or go to the gym, workout? Every single day.

What is your perfect day, morning through to night? I like a little variety in my life. I couldn’t ever have a “perfect day” purely based on events. My perfect day is all in a state of mind. 🙂

Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra, what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamourous? Just being happy is the easiest way to look pretty and glamourous. It will show through in your whole demeanor and in the way you carry yourself.

Tell me about your favorites. Color: Depends on my mood!, Film: Donnie Darko, Actor: Jake Gyllenhaal, Actress: Angelina Jolie, Singer: Maynard James Keenan, International Music: Cocco, Food: Crème brûlée, Hobby: LARPing!, Festival: Thanksgiving.

How you communicate with other netizens, especially your subscribers? How often you reply to them? I always make time to answer peoples’ questions if I feel I have something valuable to offer them. I like to think of myself as friendly and sufficiently patient. Polite? Well… Not always. Sometimes I curse n’ sht. 8)

Do you own a domain? Do you have your own website? Yes. My domain is http://taversia.net. I am also on Facebook: http://facebook.com/taversia.net & Twitter: http://twitter.com/taversia

Your ultimate message for netizens? It feels so much better to pay a compliment than it does to be insulting; even if you think you’re being funny. Look for the good in people, and share what you find in them. Maybe they didn’t find it in themselves without you pointing it out to them. Think of how happy they could be, if only they knew. Be kind; always express gratitude.
