Demi Vesinger: Story & Interview

My name is Demi Vesinger, I’m 18 and am from the small town of Burnie, Tasmania. I first started modeling as a child, had a break, and begun once again at the age of 14. I started off with classes and began to get noticed by state photographers. After a few photoshoots, I began finding paid work which felt like a real achievement. Through my modeling classes (both photographic and catwalk), I gained the confidence to start entering competitions, and since then, I have entered every comp that was suitable for myself. Competitions such as Miss Universe, Regatta girl, sea-FM model search, Miss v8 Supercars, Miss Country Girl Australia, and many more. My name got about, and I’m now also being offered a fair bit of promotional work. I love it, My experience has truly been amazing.

Describe yourself in three words. Kind, inquisitive, and unique.

What languages do you speak? English.

How would you describe your personality? I think I have a bubbly, quite happy personality.

Can you sum up your style in three words? Classy, fun & unique.

What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future? I have done a lot of shoots but I want to start doing different themed ones, big hair, crazy makeup in a top location!

What do you think, Is it important to attended fashion modeling courses? If you’re a beginner, yes I think it’s important. It gave me the basic knowledge to start my career and the confidence to be able to get this far.

Do they really help newbies to get a foothold in the Fashion Industry? Yes, it certainly helped me to begin being noticed.

Is there anything you want to change about yourself, what are they? Nothing other than some more toning up. Look good, feel good!

What kind of modeling are you interested in and why? Mostly photographic and a bit of promotional. Promo work is always a lot of fun! I prefer these as I just don’t have quite enough height for the catwalk.

Do you have any other experience in the fashion industry (like writing photography etc.)? I enjoy a little bit of my own photography, creating beautiful images really can be a joy.

Describe the atmosphere when you’re on a shoot? Everyone is different. It all depends on who you work with and what theme you’re going for.

Would you model any kind of clothing at all? As long as it covers the body parts that clothes are meant to be covered, I’m more than happy to model them.

What are your strengths? My positive energy and My knowledge from past experiences.

And what are your weaknesses? My weaknesses are needles!

What makes a stylish woman or man? Confidence!

Is there a difference? Other than the clothes they wear, no.

Who are some of your favorite fashion photographers? I would love to shoot with an Australian photographer named Daniel Gowans. His images are amazing!

What’s your favorite outfit from your own closet? A favorite outfit, to be honest, I have so many clothes, I’m wearing a new outfit nearly each and every day!

Do you have a favorite clothing item? My favorite at the moment would have to be my new tight leather pants!

For any reason, why? They make your legs look good, with a high-class sex appeal!

Who are some of your favorite models and designers? My favorite model is Miranda Kerr. She’s Australian, she’s healthy, she’s not fake, she’s smart and drop-dead gorgeous!

Where do you generally like to shop? Everywhere!

What are your favorite shopping sites? I honestly just type into Google what I’m after, and whatever site pops up I just go with it.

What are your likes and dislikes? I like animals, I hate heights. I have an obsession with dream catchers and hatred for needles!

What’s your beauty regime? Work out 3 times a week and fake tan! As long as applied properly it is magic! Saves you from skin cancer too!

What’s your take on size zero? I try not to be a judgemental person, but truth be told it is unhealthy, and a “size zero” isn’t the type of person I would be looking up to.

Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra, what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamorous? Moisturise, apply gloss and mascara, and be sure to wear a smile!

Is there anything you avoid eating? I try to avoid fast food.

What’s your favorite healthy treat(s)? Fruit salad and banana shakes!

How do you stay fit? I have a bit of a home gym and also attend Shen academy, where I do a little boxing, a little grappling, and some basic fitness stuff.

What types of exercises you do? I workout 3+ times a week, my three main focuses are squats for my buttocks, sit-ups/crunches for my abs and just a little weight lifting for my arms.

How do you enjoy your time off, away from work? As long as there’s good weather I love to go snorkeling.

What keeps you happy? I tend to focus more on the good than the bad. I’m quite lucky as I find it easy to stay positive.

What are your favorite hang out spots in the city you live in? My bed hahaha!

What is your favorite city? It is probably Melbourne.

How you communicate with other netizens, especially your followers? I do an awful lot of Facebooking! Model mayhem, e-mails. It’s mostly all online.

While interacting with your fans, Are you patient? polite? friendly? Patient, most of the time. Yes,  I am very polite. Friendly? I’d like to think so.

How often you reply to them? I get an awful lot of messages and it can sometimes take me a couple of days to get back to them. I get back to most people, if it’s of importance, about a job, If I know them or if they have gone out of their way to be complimentary without the added sleaziness that is unfortunately received sometimes.

How you access the Internet? I mean what device you use? On my plan or wi-fi. I use my iPhone and laptop.
