Sarah Clayton: Story & Interview

I’m a model from Pennsylvania, USA. After modeling for the last 6 years I’ve been published in Playboy special Editions magazines three times as well as Playboy Mexico. I’ve also been featured in fitness DVDs for Men’s Health and Women’s Health magazines entitled “Spartacus: 5.0.” Other than that I’ve modeled swimsuits for numerous sites as well as lingerie companies. In my spare time, I love to go hiking and can be found working out in my basement gym. Other than that I love spending time with my English Bulldog, Iggy!

What does fashion actually mean to you? What inspires your passion and what excites & motivates you about modeling? Sarah Clayton: I really enjoy working with new people and seeing new artistry.

What do you think, Is it important to attended fashion modeling courses? Do they really help newbies to get a foothold in the Fashion Industry? Sarah Clayton: I don’t think it’s necessarily important or required – buy by all means if someone wants to attend courses, then yes! Honestly just study models and their poses, walks, and practice, practice, practice!

How you communicate with other netizens, especially your subscribers? Are you patient? polite? friendly? How often you reply to them? Sarah Clayton: I try to reply to all of them, I’m mostly patient and polite, friendly. I try not to be rude.

Has modeling changed other aspects of your life? What does your career do for you? Sarah Clayton: It’s made me pay a lot closer attention to my body and my fitness level. I’ve cleaned up my diet considerable and try to work out often.

Is there anything you dislike about modeling? Sarah Clayton: The pressures some people feel to look a certain way. Just be the best version of yourself. There are hundreds of body types that need to be represented, somewhere. Just be yourself.

And what are some things you dislike or want to change about the fashion industry? Sarah Clayton: I love the artistic side of the photography and set design. I hate the way models harm themselves to fit a certain mold.

How you prepare yourself for a modeling shoot? Sarah Clayton: Workout more, prepare my skin and hair to be worked on, and plan outfits.

What has been your best fashion look? What was your biggest fashion mistake? Sarah Clayton: Currently I’m loving my leather leggings. They go great with anything! Mistakes probably include everything from age 15-22. This includes boys 😉

Tell us something about your city, your favorite hang out spots there? Sarah Clayton: I live about half-way between NYC and Philadelphia, in the mountains. It’s beautiful and peaceful here but I can be in the city in just about 2 hours.

What do you like to do for fun & entertainment? Sarah Clayton: I love to go to movies and watch sports, news, and read.

What is your perfect day, morning through to night? Sarah Clayton: Perfect would be getting a good work out in early, spending the day with my family and being outside!

What’s your fashion mantra? Please describe your style? What’s your beauty regime? Sarah Clayton: I really like to be comfortable. If something is really a chore to wear it’s impossible to look good in. I’m probably a mix of classic and sporty in my daily style. My beauty regime includes using my Clarisonic daily and wearing minimal makeup whenever I can. This usually includes no makeup on the weekends 😉

Is there any food which you avoid eating? How often do you exercise or go to the gym? How much time do you spend there? Sarah Clayton: I try to avoid processed foods as much as I can. Working out takes place in my basement as I have a home gym set up there. I do a lot of weights and bodyweight workouts. The programs I love are all produced by Men’s Health/Women’s Health Magazines and are entitled “DeltaFit: Speed Shred,” “Spartacus: 5.0” and “10-Minute Torchers.” (Fun fact: I’m featured in “Spartacus.”)

Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamorous? Sarah Clayton: Having a good blow-out regarding the hair and simple makeup. Can’t go wrong with that! It’s classic and easy to do.

What fashion magazines like reading? What fashion website & weblogs you like browsing? Sarah Clayton: I love Glamour Magazine because it’s accessible for everyday people. Cosmo becomes boring and over-infatuated because none of the advertisements are attainable for regular people. My other love is Women’s Health Magazine. It’s so informative and I love all the fashion they feature.

Tell me about your favorites. Sarah Clayton: Favorite Color: probably purple. Film: The Lone Survivor. It affected me like no other film I’ve ever seen. Actress: Jen Aniston, can’t love her! Singer: Toss-up between Sinatra and Streisand. Food: Spaghetti Squash. I could eat every. single. day. Hobby: watching sports. Author: oh god too many to narrow down.

How you access the Internet? What device do you use: Is it a tablet, smartphone, or laptop? What according to you is a more comfortable, quick, and easy device for accessing the Internet? Sarah Clayton: I access the internet on all of the above, and I have all Mac products. They are all linked together to keep my emails and calendar going 🙂 I’m probably most often on my phone, through. Damn thing’s never out of my hands, as much as it pains me to admit.

Is there anything you like to add? Sarah Clayton: Catch up with me on Twitter @sarah_clayton81, on Instagram @Ms_Clayton81, on Facebook and of course at my website!! All of my new images go up there first for members to see. And of course, all of my prints are offered there for discounted prices for members 😉

Your ultimate message for netizens? Sarah Clayton: Be kind and don’t let the little stuff get to you. At the end of the day not with getting yourself all torqued up over. Just be the best you that you can be. It’s the only thing you have control over in life 😉
