I am Suzanne Moran and I am from Carlow in Ireland. I have been modeling for the past four years and have lots of experience with runway shows and photographic shoots. I am currently with Assets Model Agency in Dublin and I am always thinking of new ideas for shoots and making them come to life. I also have started to get into cosplay which will be part of my modeling variety in the near future.
What does fashion actually mean to you? What inspires your passion and what excites & motivates you about modeling? Fashion to me means creativity and expressing one’s personality and traits through different styles and looks. Seeing models on different advertisements and walking down the runway shows me that these women have worked their asses off to be on those magazines, billboards, runways, etc. It inspired me to work my ass off for it because if you work hard enough and are determined enough great things could happen as a result. When I used to see a model owning a runway I would just think yeah she is doing her thing and so will I someday, and each day I’m getting better and more experienced and I’m doing my thing and still have so much more to come! 🙂 Also check out My Facebook Page for more 🙂
What do you think, Is it important to attended fashion modeling courses? Do they really help newbies to get a foothold in the Fashion Industry? For me, personally, I never attended any of those modeling classes before joining Assets Model Agency. I would always try to make my own contacts and learn how to model my own way. For others, it may help them get a foothold but for me, I went about it my way. I don’t think it was a disadvantage to have learned things about the industry for myself because I didn’t attend any model classes.
How you communicate with other netizens, especially your subscribers? Are you patient? polite? friendly? How often you reply to them? I am ALWAYS patient and polite! I will always reply also! In my opinion, Being a diva will get you absolutely nowhere. Like they always say, be kind to those on the way up because you may meet them again on the way back down. If someone compliments my work I feel very honored of such compliments and I am happy to reply to anyone who may need to contact me regarding the industry such as compliments, photoshoots, and runway shows as well as my agent who will give me the work.
Has modeling changed other aspects of your life? What does your career do for you? I suppose modeling has made me more aware of my own physical appearance whether it may be positive or negative traits. It has also taught me how to present myself in a graceful and ladylike manner. Through modeling, I have made so many friends and contacts that are helpful and understanding. This career is also a great confidence booster. Especially when you get good results from a photoshoot.
Is there anything you dislike about modeling? I dislike how some models can become very high and mighty in themselves without realizing that there are others involved as well as the model in a working environment. This would make the efficiency of the work and the morale of the colleagues considerably lower. I suppose that would go for anyone involved i.e. the photographer, MUA, etc. It’s just annoying to see someone put themselves down by being impolite and rude to others in the workplace.
And what are some things you dislike or want to change about the fashion industry? I want to change how models are so emaciated looking in magazines and runways. For many young women, models in these magazines are idols and role models. These women should promote health and natural beauty. There is nothing natural or beautiful about starving yourself!!
How you prepare yourself for a modeling shoot? If there is a certain character I am supposed to be or if I am to be sexy, ethereal, etc I will prepare myself my thinking about what I am supposed to do and figuring out how it can be achieved through results. I will always listen to certain songs before the shoot to get myself into the character I’m supposed to portray.
What has been your best fashion look? What was your biggest fashion mistake? My best fashion look would be the look I have now. I can’t really think of many fashion mistakes I have had in the past.
What are your favorite types of outfits to model in? What are your least favorites? My favorite types of outfits to model it would be dresses or sexy outfits…even outfits that show my figure off best in the picture. I don’t really like tube tops at all or see-through skirts.
Any ultimate goal to fulfill as a model? How do you see yourself progress in this field? The ultimate goal would be to hit the runways of London fashion week. That would be my wildest dream come true. I just need to work very hard to get there and I will work for it.
What kind of shoots would you like to work on in the future? I would like to do a lot more cosplay and sexy shoots in the future because they are fun and exciting and I would love to work on more shoots like that since I basically have everything else covered!
Would you like to tell us something about your city, your favorite hang out spots there? I like to hang out in Dublin. I have a good few friends there and it’s always a fun place to go.
What do you like to do for fun & entertainment?: I love to play pc and Xbox games. I also love to listen to music.
What is your perfect day? I am thankful for every day that I have. I have a good life and I am happy with it. Not every day will be a “perfect day” but as long as you’re happy and healthy, that’s what really counts.
What’s your fashion mantra? Please describe your style? What’s your beauty regime? I love dresses that show my figure off. I also love the latest trends that I could put my own twist to also. Being creative with fashion would be my “mantra”. My beauty regime doesn’t really involve much. I use baby wipes to cleanse my face and lip balm for my lips. Less is always more I find.
Do you eat nutritiously? Tell us about the diet you follow on a regular basis? Is there any food which you avoid eating? I don’t have any diet regime at all really. I have food preferences. I would go and eat something savory before even looking at a piece of chocolate. It’s the way I have always been and it’s not a guideline I follow for myself. If I feel like eating ice cream I’m gonna go eat ice cream. Starving yourself is no good. Besides, If I did starve myself results of my photoshoots would be terrible!!
How often do you exercise? Do you go to the gym? How much time do you spend there? To be honest, I don’t do much exercise. I’ve never had a gym membership or go to the gym.
Excluding all complicated beauty & fitness mantra, what do you think to be the easiest way to look pretty and glamorous? The easiest way to look glamorous would be to wear something that suits you and shows you off. A nice amount of makeup would look very glamorous. Nothing too severe or “caked on”. Too much makeup would ruin a glamorous look.

What are your experiences in the fashion industry? What is fun and rewarding about modeling? Do you have any advice for other aspiring models? I have had lots of experience in fashion photoshoots and runway shows the last few years modeling. Making friends and contacts is fun and rewarding as you are building friendships that would have never have been there if I hadn’t done any modeling. What I would recommend is having a hard skin ( being able to accept criticism both constructive and negative) and never badmouth anyone who you work with even if you don’t find them to be a very nice person. You never know, they could have had a really bad day and have acted that way as a result. Always be nice and polite because you will always get work because you were kind and co-operative.
What fashion magazines you like reading? What fashion websites you follow? I love reading ELLE and I always love browsing victoria’s secret. Both the lingerie and the women are gorgeous!!
Tell me about your favorites. My favorite color is baby blue. My favorite model is Adriana Lima. That’s hard to say there are so many amazing photographers out there! I love the film ” The Lion King”. Best film ever! My favorite Actor would be Will Ferrell.
How you access the Internet? What device do you use: Is it a tablet, smartphone or laptop? What according to you is a more comfortable, quick, and easy device for accessing the Internet? I use my laptop and my smartphone to access the internet. They are easy and I can browse, shop, work in no time!
Is there anything you like to add? The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope. In other words, if you want it to go and get it! Not everything is handed to you on a silver platter. You must get up and do your best to fulfill your dreams, whatever they may be!
